google

i love google. you can find the answer to anything there. this morning i woke up with a small headache, and it's not the first time over the last few weeks. so i googled "why do i have a headache when i wake up" and this is what i found:
  1. there may be a lot of dust in my room
  2. my sinuses might not be draining properly while i sleep
  3. my pillows may be too flat
  4. my pillows may be too fluffy
  5. i may be dehydrated
  6. i may have slept too long
  7. i might clench my teeth or grind my teeth
  8. hormonal issue in women
  9. maybe i'm cold when i sleep
  10. my mattress may be bad
  11. i may have a brain tumor
so i'm back to where i started. luckly i'm not one of those self-diagnosing people who spend all their time on webMD. lol. i have no idea what's wrong with me. oh well...pop 2 ibuprofen and send me on my way. the end.

9-11

This weekend we remembered those lost in 9-11. Mayor of New York, Michael Bloomberg, said there was to be no Clergy or prayer at the ceremony at Ground Zero. I appaluad our Presidents Obama and Bush for taking it upon themselves to include Him. Obama read Psalms 46 and Bush read a letter to Mrs. Bixby, a mother who lost 5 sons during the American Civil War, from Abraham Lincoln which included a prayer. I have posted both below. They were very appropriate to share with our great nation and the world. God will always find a way, He will not be left out.

Psalms 46

 1 God is our refuge and strength,
   an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
   and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
   and the mountains quake with their surging.
 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
   the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall;
   God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
   he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
 7 The LORD Almighty is with us;
   the God of Jacob is our fortress.
 8 Come and see what the LORD has done,
   the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease
   to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
   he burns the shields with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
   I will be exalted among the nations,
   I will be exalted in the earth.”
 11 The LORD Almighty is with us;
   the God of Jacob is our fortress.

From President Abraham Lincoln:

Executive Mansion,
Washington, Nov. 21, 1864.
Dear Madam,
I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle. I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,
A. Lincoln
